Please read these terms carefully before using our platform
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Dars e Furqan at darsefurqan.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use our platform.
These terms apply to all visitors, students, teachers, and any other users of the platform.
2. About Our Platform
Dars e Furqan is an online Islamic learning marketplace that:
- Connects students with qualified Quran and Islamic studies teachers
- Facilitates booking of one-on-one online lessons via Zoom
- Processes subscription payments for student access
- Provides video learning content through the Q Family section
- Hosts educational blog content about Islamic studies
We act as a marketplace platform only. The actual teaching services are provided by independent teachers registered on our platform.
3. User Accounts
When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent if under 18)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or inappropriate behaviour.
4. Rules for Teachers
If you register as a teacher on our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience
- Conduct lessons professionally and on time
- Maintain appropriate Islamic conduct during all lessons
- Not contact students outside of the platform for bookings
- Set fair and accurate hourly rates (minimum $0.50/hour)
- Accept that your profile must be approved by admin before appearing publicly
- Not share inappropriate, offensive, or un-Islamic content
Teachers who violate these rules may have their accounts suspended or permanently removed.
5. Rules for Students
As a student, you agree to:
- Attend booked lessons on time or cancel at least 24 hours in advance
- Treat teachers with respect and Islamic courtesy
- Not record lessons without the teacher's explicit permission
- Use the platform only for lawful and appropriate educational purposes
- Not share your account login with others
6. Subscriptions & Payments
- New students receive a 5-day free trial with full access to the platform
- After the trial, a subscription is required to book lessons
- Available plans: 15-day, 1-month, and 1-year (with 7% discount)
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe
- Subscription fees are charged in USD
- Subscriptions do not auto-renew — you choose when to renew
- We reserve the right to update subscription prices with 30 days notice
7. Prohibited Activities
You must NOT use our platform to:
- Spread content that contradicts Islamic values or is offensive
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Share false or misleading information
- Attempt to hack, damage, or disrupt our systems
- Scrape or copy our content without permission
- Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
Violations may result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Dars e Furqan — including the logo, design, blog posts, and platform code — is the property of Dars e Furqan and is protected by copyright law.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission. Teachers retain ownership of their teaching materials but grant us a licence to display their profiles on our platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
Dars e Furqan is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for:
- The quality or accuracy of teaching provided by individual teachers
- Disputes between students and teachers
- Technical issues on Zoom's side during lessons
- Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our control
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Pakistan.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of our platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
